4302 Hastings Street is a mixed-use multi-unit residential and commercial development. The project is designed to meet a minimum LEEDTM Silver standard. The project is designed to respond to the client’s criteria for affordability. Seven units of non-market rental housing are provided along with 46 units of market housing. A roof-top amenity space serves all residents and meeting room will serve the local community.
A ground-source heat-pump provides heating, cooling and domestic hot water to the commercial spaces. Residential units have in-slab radiant hydronic heating. Building massing for passive energy use was considered when the building form was developed.
